Physio for Children

What is the purpose of children’s physiotherapy?

Children’s physiotherapy aims to support healthy growth, movement, and musculoskeletal well-being from an early age. At its heart, it works preventively as well as remedially - protecting the bones, joints, muscles, and nerves from overuse, imbalance or injury, and helping to correct or manage issues when they arise (such as juvenile arthritis, hypermobility, Osgood-Schlatter’s, or postural/coordination challenges).

At INNERV8, we emphasise turning “hindsight into foresight,” by educating families and intervening early to guide children into strong lifelong movement patterns. Through personalised assessment and hands-on techniques, children’s physio helps reduce pain, enhance function, build strength and confidence, and empowers both child and caregiver with strategies to support movement and play safely.

Will my child benefit from physio?

In many cases, the answer is yes.

Pain is just one symptom, physio can improve strength, balance, coordination, confidence, and day-to-day function. Even children who are reluctant about sport or find movement hard at first can often gain major benefits in how easily and confidently they move. If you’re noticing your child avoids physical activity, has awkward movement, or complains about joints/muscles, physio can often make a significant positive change from the very first session.

At INNERV8 we can support children with any orthopaedic condition, growth related issue, and even some gut-related problems that affect movement or comfort.

Our team will help your child move more freely, increase their confidence and feel more like themselves.
